(JCP) PERUGIA - The Associazione Jazz Club Perugia was constituted in Perugia before the notary Giuseppe Brunelli on October 7th, 2008. Founding members are Wladimiro Boccali, Andrea Cernicchi, Mario Guidi, Marcello Migliosi, Nicola Miriano, Luigi Napolitano, Carlo Pagnotta. Miriano was unanimously voted Chairman. The idea of such a creature is not new as it has its roots in a similar initiative created back in the fifties when the musical passion of Carlo Pagnotta - the same "jazz man" of today and therefore not needing any introduction - and others, inserting itself into the cultural trends of people from the Perugia area, gave rise to events that found or created a significant inclination towards jazz sensibility on the part of many people, of whom I am proud to have been part, also during the years when Adriano Mazzoletti was Chairman of what was then known as the "Circolo del Jazz" (Jazz Club). For many reasons these initiatives began to fade but not so the jazz cultural vein which had inspired them and which, adequately stimulated and guided towards more important forms, has placed Perugia on an important national and international level of jazz music. In the last few years the opportunity of creating an organism which, although connected to its far off origins, responds to the ever growing cultural demand for good jazz music during the winter months, has gained strength. After the first experiments, the happy result of a spontaneous and informal aggregation, the Associazione Jazz Club Perugia (JCP) was formally established. The Association proposes to promote, sustain and boost the growth of cultural activities in Perugia and Umbria, with specific reference to jazz music and the consequent music and concert activity. This activity will be structured according to an artistic project integrated with musical and historiographical studies of production, distribution, updating, formation, promotion and hospitality. The Association intends to promote events and performances in Perugia and in the rest of the territory of the Region of Umbria so as to further, among other things, the emergence, development and consolidation of qualified musical and artistic realities orientated towards Jazz, encouraging the participation of the public in these events. Among the more concrete and immediate tangible events, the JCP intends to continue the winter concert scheduling, confiding in the favour of the public obtained in the preceding years and continuing to employ the successful formula of wine and food before each concert.Nicola MirianoPresidenteMarcello MigliosiVicepresidenteCarlo PagnottaConsigliere fondatoreMario GuidiDirettore artisticoGigi NapolitanoResponsabile amministrativoStefano LazzariResponsabile organizzativo++++---------------------------------Giancarlo BelfioreFotografoMorena ZingalesCrossmedializzazione sito***by Nicola Miriano
